A golden sky paints the backdrop for the orange hues of the Remarkable Rocks on Kangaroo Island in South Australia, whose wide beaches are framed by dramatic cliffs and turquoise bays. If it’s your lucky day, a ‘roo may stay to say G’day at Lucky Bay in Cape Le Grand N.P. , with Hellfire Bay lying a bit to the west of it – both just a short drive out of Esperance in Western Australia.  All the way east on the far side of the Great Australian Bight, the combination of soft and harsh shades of impossibly shaped limestone and sandstone rock stacks rising from the Southern Ocean makes for extravagant panoramas along Victoria’s star attraction of the Great Ocean Road, while the snow-white Split Point Lighthouse towers in the distance.
