Getting around the scattered islands of the Solomons make for a unique experience.  Blanketed by thick, nearly impenetrable tropical rainforest, flying between the islands is done on small planes which land on grass strips.  This Composition features the islands of Uepi and Matikuri, located on either side of the Seghe on the island of New Georgia.  Seghe is the gateway to the world famous Marovo Lagoon and its sensational visions of a quintessential tropical paradise, while its healthy reefs are home to a profusion of coral and sea life.  A ring of islands including Uepi and Charapaona lying off the north coast of New Georgia island encloses the Marovo Lagoon whose radiant sandy beaches and crystal clear aqua-turquoise waters are a delight to spend the day on.  Matikuri and Kembekembe islands lie just off the west coast of Vangunu island to the southeast of New Georgia.
